Mazes in general take a ton of time to prepare and grow, local farmers work their hardest during the year to satisfy their visitors’ appetite for fear when October rolls around. The mazes are carefully planned and can appear in a variety of designs and are sometimes even created to tell a story! Once farmers have grown their corn, which in the Northern Hemisphere, is best to begin in mid-late May and in the Southern Hemisphere, mid-late November is ideal, they can create their walkways.
